Yorkshire Building Society and Age UK YBS Colour Celebration

Yorkshire Building Society (YBS) and Age UK came together at the start of the pandemic to raise £1 million to help support older people across the UK. Despite the challenges of the pandemic, we have been able to raise hundreds of thousands of pounds for Age UK’s vital work, but we wanted to create a fundraising event that worked for a new hybrid way of working. An event that could bring all colleagues together, no matter where they worked in the business.

We wanted to run an event for the world we now live in. An event that allowed people to take part at home, as a team and in their workplace. So, we created the YBS Colour Celebration which would bring colleagues together from across the business, celebrate the achievements of the partnership so far, and raise £15,000 for Age UK.

The hard work of YBS colleagues was showcased in media coverage that reached over 33,000 people and we raised over £23,000 for Age UK’s Building Better Lives programme, which will help over 4,700 older people across the country to be better prepared for both today, and the future.
