Weil’s Corporate Responsibility team have created tangible impact while leveraging from the wide spectrum of skills and resources the London office has to offer. It could be argued one of their greatest achievements was creating the Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability Practitioner (Level 4) – the UK’s first apprenticeship in CRS and fuelling the buzz to launch the #sustainable50 – creating 39 apprenticeship starts within nine months across the country. These activities are the tip of an enormous iceberg and having recruited an additional member, Weil’s CR team show no sign of slowing down. The success of Weil’s ESG internal framework is testament to the high levels of internal engagement form partners and lawyers and has earned them deserved recognition for example being nominated for ‘Top 10 Best Law Firms for Pro Bono in the UK’ at Law.com in 2019, 2020 & 2021.
