Reckitt Responds: investing in the future of humanitarian action

Reckitt

Client: British Red Cross

In a year defined by conflict, climate shocks, and escalating humanitarian need, this partnership between Reckitt and the British Red Cross sought to continue delivering both immediate relief and long-term resilience at scale through strategic, evidence-based, and lifechanging interventions for communities facing the world’s toughest crises.

Together, we deployed a dual approach. In Kenya’s climate-vulnerable Taita-Taveta region, the partnership strengthened community preparedness—reaching nearly 17,000 people through hygiene promotion, nutrition support, disease prevention, and sustainable livelihoods. Through Dettol Hygiene Quest, we transformed school-based hygiene education, empowering children with the knowledge to protect their health and futures.

At the same time, we provided rapid, flexible funding to crises in the Middle East and Ukraine. Support enabled Red Cross and Red Crescent teams to deliver essential medical care, hygiene kits, safe water, and mental health support to millions of people affected by conflict.

Our partnership with the British Red Cross delivers deep, comprehensive support with global impact. Through emergency funding and resilience-building initiatives, it has reached communities across borders—from providing safe water to 34,820 people in Ukraine, to helping the Movement support over 1.3 million in the Middle East, and strengthening climate resilience for 16,814 people in Kenya.
