Client: The Talent Foundry
Since 2018, KPMG and The Talent Foundry (TTF) have partnered to improve social mobility by helping young people from lower socio-economic backgrounds develop the skills and confidence needed to succeed in the workplace. Together, we focus on reaching those who need opportunity the most, particularly students in areas of high deprivation and social mobility coldspots across the UK. At the heart of this is Opening Doors to Opportunities, a nationwide programme delivered in schools and KPMG offices, focusing on core skills and applying these to real-life client scenarios. Through interactive skills-based workshops, KPMG colleagues volunteer their time to support young people to build essential skills and raise aspirations. The programme is designed to be inclusive and accessible, ensuring consistent impact regardless of geography. Our collaboration extends beyond KPMG. In 2021, we joined forces with other leading professional service firms and TTF to co-found Rise, supporting students to better understand pathways into the industry and the skills needed to thrive. In 2023, KPMG set a bold ambition to support one million young people to develop their skills by 2030, and TTF plays a critical role in this. In FY25 alone, we supported 330,382 young people, driving long-term impact across the UK.
