Childline is a counselling service for children across the UK that offers 24/7 support via phone, email or live chat. Glen E. From Walsall entered the draw for £25, hoping he’d win a dream house in Devon, but knowing he was at least supporting a great cause. As luck would have it, he won! And because of Omazers just like him, £1,000,000 was raised in just under five months. The pandemic has led to a massive increase in online visits to Childline with nearly 75% of children connecting through their website. These sessions can take more than twice as long as a phone call, driving the need for an increase of online information and support. The £1,000,000 has helped Childline be fully funded for 33 days and carry out around 23,000 counselling sessions.
