Since Fairer Futures launched in June 2024, we’ve already supported over 108,000 people across the UK, strengthened four strategic charity partnerships, and reinvigorated social impact across Nationwide’s. We deliver rigorous impact measurement through quarterly data-led impact reporting, beneficiary outcomes and feedback, and programme evaluation, ensuring transparency and continuous improvement.
Colleague involvement has grown by almost a third from the baseline, colleagues have delivered over 32,000 volunteering hours within work time, and raised almost £800,000 for good causes through fundraising, donations and giving. Our work has influenced national policy - contributing to the scrapping of the Two Child Benefit Cap and re-shaping government thinking on youth homelessness and dementia support.
From pioneering dementia clinics in 200+ branches to launching impactful fundraising campaigns, providing c.£11m in corporate donations and facilitating over £1.4m in colleague grants, our team has strengthened communities while deepening colleague and customers advocacy. We embody Nationwide’s purpose: banking - but fairer, more rewarding, and for the good of society.
