KPMG and Marie Curie: Short-term partnership award

KPMG

Client: Marie Curie

Marie Curie is the UK’s leading end of life care charity and KPMG are a global leader in professional services. KPMG and Marie Curie share the belief that everyone regardless of their background should have the same level of care, support, and guidance whatever terminal illness they are facing.

Our partnership began in November 2021, initially for 2 years, setting out to raise £1 million for Marie Curie. In October 2022, we made the decision to extend our partnership for an additional year. This was in recognition of the current cost-of-living crisis, and to ensure long-lasting, sustainable impact for Marie Curie. The partnership is based on 4 key pillars: fundraising, volunteering, pro bono and thought leadership. So far, we have delivered: Fundraising: Raised over £1.3m for Marie Curie Volunteering: More than 9221 colleagues have given over 63,000 hours to support Marie Curie, including over 100 charity shop takeovers by KPMG colleagues Pro bono and thought leadership: Delivered over £390,000 of pro bono work including key strategic projects which will impact end of life care in the UK for years to come. The partnership benefits from strong employee engagement and is supported by colleagues acting as committee member and champions.
