IHP x Cencora Essential Health Pack (EHP) Volunteer Programme
Cencora
Client: International Health Partners UK
Through Cencora’s UK logistics arm, Alloga, employees regularly volunteer their time to pack IHP’s Essential Health Packs (EHPs) — portable pharmacies used in disaster response and primary healthcare in crisis affected communities. Many staff contribute during lunch breaks, evenings, and weekends, reflecting exceptional commitment beyond formal volunteering hours.
This project enabled the shipment of 315 EHPs, containing a total of 135,918 units of medicine, to five countries. These shipments supported access to healthcare for an estimated 204,601 patients in humanitarian need. This commitment recently helped IHP deliver urgent medical aid to Jamaica following Hurricane Melissa, providing EHPs with essential medicines to support more than 50,000 people in the hardest-hit communities.
The partnership blends IHP’s mission to expand access to medicines with Cencora’s commitment to creating healthier futures. It stands as a model of meaningful corporate volunteering that delivers measurable humanitarian impact while strengthening employee purpose, pride, and collaboration
In 2025, 48 Cencora employees contributed 300 volunteer hours to pack 120,107 units of medicine into 270 Essential Health Packs (EHPs) across five packing tranches.
