Howden's partnership with Maggie's is a national, people-powered collaboration designed to help more people live well with cancer - emotionally, practically, and financially. Chosen by UK colleagues, the partnership brings together Howden's people-first culture and industry reach with Maggie's trusted, evidence-based support for people living with cancer and their families.

Since launching in April 2024, colleagues across the UK have raised over £630,000, support by matched funding from the Howden Foundation. This funding has expanded specialist benefits advice and psychological support at a time when cost-of-living pressures are forcing many people with cancer into financial distress. As a result, around 12,000 advice sessions have been delivered, unlocking approximately £13 million in benefits, alongside more than 6,300 psychology sessions supporting mental health and resilience.

The partnership goes beyond fundraising. Over 250 customer-facing Howden colleagues have been trained by Maggie's to better support vulnerable customers living with cancer, strengthening empathy, confidence and understanding across the insurance journey.

Together, the partnership helped accelerate Maggie's national reach, enabling the charity to welcome more than 327,000 centre visits across the UK in 2024, reaching a 2027 strategic milestone two years early.
