Bank of Scotland Foundation has been making a meaningful impact on Scotland's most vulnerable communities since 2010. We embrace our role as a responsive funder, supporting charities through some of the most challenging times the Third Sector has faced in recent years.

We’re funded with an annual donation from Lloyds Banking Group, which we distribute across Scotland through our Grants Programmes and a Matched Giving Programme for the Group’s colleagues in Scotland.

In the last three years, we’ve provided almost £14m to over 1,100 charities across Scotland enabling over 550,000 people to access much needed local services and personal support.

In November, in response to the cost-of-living crisis, we offered our 178 current grantees a share of almost £2.5 million, enabling them to continue to support people facing challenges such as homelessness, addiction and domestic abuse.

We're proud to introduce more unrestricted funding and more multi-year funding through our new strategy launched in January, enabling small charities to use their grants in the way that helps them best and offering greater stability.

Beyond funding, the Group’s colleagues also offer mentoring skills and volunteering time to help charities grow stronger and thrive beyond the lifetime of their grant.
