Aviva Foundation

Aviva plc

Client: UK Third Sector organisations helping people build financial stability

The Aviva Foundation's strategy begins with listening. Charities tell us they need patient, long-term support to tackle complex, deeply rooted challenges – so we provide funding that gives them the time, stability and confidence to create lasting change.

As one applicant reflected: “We are extremely grateful for the care and attention you have given.”

Since launch, we’ve committed £17m to improving financial inclusion, strengthening community resilience and advancing climate action. In recent years, we’ve sharpened our focus on people at risk of financial hardship, backing innovations that address economic abuse, the links between money and mental health, and barriers faced by people with learning disabilities.

In 2024, more than 14,000 people received direct support to build their financial resilience.

But our impact extends beyond numbers. We invest in close, respectful relationships – valuing partners’ time, creating space for shared learning and offering supportive feedback. We bring partners together, connecting them with skilled volunteers and hosting an annual Learning Day to spark collaboration and insights that also strengthen Aviva’s customer practices, including on economic abuse.

As we expand to include the Aviva Community Fund in 2026, our commitment remains: helping people build lasting financial resilience and driving long-term, systemic change.
