Transforming young lives in east London for over ten years

UBS and IntoUniversity

Young people from Britain’s poorest communities face a considerable educational disadvantage: they do far less well at school, they are unlikely to go to university, and they have little chance of entering a professional career.
IntoUniversity is a national charity, inspiring young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to achieve a place at university. Their innovative, impact-driven model has enabled thousands of young people from the most disadvantaged areas of London to attain a university place or another chosen aspiration.
UBS is a global financial services firm. Through our Community Affairs programme, we aim to overcome disadvantage in our local communities through support for education and entrepreneurship. In the UK, we have been supporting the community in east London through both funding and employee volunteering for over 40 years.
UBS has partnered IntoUniversity since the charity was founded in 2007. The partnership is founded on a shared ambition to break the cycle of educational inequality in east London. We have supported IntoUniversity's mission through grant funding, employee fundraising, employee volunteering, strategic support, and event sponsorship. Now, over 12 years on, the partnership has helped reach over 26,000 disadvantaged students in east London, as well as supported IntoUniversity to reach national scale.
