Dicky Taylor, George Biggar, Peter Robinson and Stuart Watts –The Four Oarsmen – crossed the finish line of The Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge on Saturday 13 January 2018, rowing into English Bay, Antigua, after 29 days at sea setting a new world record: six days faster than the previous world record holders. The quartet entered the 3,000 mile race as a fundraiser for charities Mind, in memory of George’s mother, Anne Fisher, and Spinal Research UK, in support of Peter’s friend, Ben Kende. So far, they have raised just over £360k for the two causes. After 18 months of intensive training, the team set out on what is dubbed ‘the world’s toughest row’; with only one of the four men having had previous rowing experience.
