The Blues Programme

Royal Mail and Action for Children

Around three children in every classroom are suffering from a diagnosable mental health disorder. Additionally, with 75% of adults with lifelong mental health issues first experiencing symptoms before the age of 18, it is essential that young people receive the support they need as early as possible, before it is too late.

Royal Mail and Action for Children (AFC) are passionate about directly tackling this issue, and providing mental health support at the heart of local communities, to the young people who need it most.

By raising £2 million over three years for Action for Children, Royal Mail are directly investing in a new innovative mental health programme called the Blues Programme. Delivered in schools by specially trained 'Blues Busters', the Blues Programme is already supporting and improving the mental health and emotional wellbeing of thousands of young people in all for nations.

Together, we are raising awareness of the issue of mental health, helping to reduce the stigma young people face and providing direct support to young people across the UK. Together we are showing young people that life is worth living and helping to change their future today.
