The global partnership between War Child and law firm Allen & Overy from 2016/18 was the most successful staff-facing partnership in War Child history, delivering massive impact to children affected by war.
Income – £701,000 raised over last 12 months of the partnership – almost twice as much as any previous charity
Direct support – The Rescue Childhood programme funded by A&O has provided protection, psychological support and education to 2,310 displaced children and additional support to 1,185 parents and caregivers
Local capacity - Rescue Childhood has set the standard for Early Childhood Care and Development in the Jordanian national curriculum
Professional support – A&O has given £183,000 in Pro bono and Gift-in-Kind including an independent review of War Child culture and operations enabling War Child to maintain the highest standards
Sustainable growth - Unrestricted funding was invested in developing our new football programme War Child FC, and growth of our award-winning videogame fundraising team.
