Reach Up!

Coca-Cola European Partners and UK Youth

At Coca-Cola European Partners (CCEP) we are committed to using our business as a force for good. Our drinks brands are enjoyed across the country, and as such we are always looking for ways to support our local communities and make a positive impact.

With 800,000 young people between the ages of 16 and 24 either unemployed or not in education or training (NEET) (ONS figures, 2018), we recognise the importance of supporting young people into employment. Through a partnership with UK Youth - a charity working to empower young people to build bright futures, regardless of their background or circumstances - we were able to make a positive impact within these communities.

Central to our partnership is the joint 'Reach Up' pilot project, which spanned four months and worked with 40 young people in the northwest of England to empower them with the confidence, skills and experience needed to feel ready for the workplace.

Volunteering was also at the heart of this programme, with CCEP employees helping to run workshops and events. This was a great way for our people to connect with the communities in which they work, as well as developing their own skills.
