Established in 2017, the partnership is between JLL UK, a world leader in real estate, and Crisis, the national charity for homeless people. Through its Building a Better Tomorrow sustainability commitment, JLL UK focuses on the social issues it can impact the most. With Crisis estimating the UK's homeless population is 236,000, and with homelessness on the rise, JLL is uniquely positioned to address this issue.
With Board level sponsorship, comprehensive governance, passionate champions and engaging activities, successes include:
•Raised £632,693 since 2017, helping 636 people into housing (on track for 2020 target of £1.2million)
•294 employees (13% of staff) contributed 2322 volunteer hours to Crisis (plus a further 2000 hours of active participation in fundraising activities) supporting skills development and wellbeing of employees .
•£35,000 of pro bono advice and expert support to Crisis' Plan to End Homelessness.
Jon Sparkes, Crisis CEO, said: ""This is a critical time for Crisis and JLL to partner. The fundraising and strategic support from JLL is key to helping us deliver our plan to end homelessness and provide ongoing support to our members.""
Due to these successes and the ongoing need to address the issue of homelessness, the partnership was extended to 2020.
