Helping the world's hungry

The innocent Foundation

One in nine people in the world are hungry today, but it doesn't have to be this way. Hunger is the world's greatest solvable problem because there is enough food for everybody to have the nourishment necessary for a healthy and productive life.

The innocent foundation helps the world's hungry at home and abroad, and has reached more than 750,000 people since 2004. It is funded by innocent drinks which gives 10% of its profits to charity, and has donated £6.9m to the foundation over the years. 98% of employees at innocent are proud of the business's commitment to the foundation, so they volunteer their time and skills too.

The foundation helps hungry people in four ways. It tackles food insecurity in the developing world, teaching rural communities to grow enough to feed themselves. It champions breakthrough developments - great but untested ideas - like finding better ways to treat children suffering from life-threatening severe acute malnutrition. It provides emergency hunger relief in humanitarian crises. And it fights food poverty in the UK, providing meals for families struggling to afford food in the school holidays.
