GSK & Save the Children partnership

GSK and Save the Children

Every day, 15,000 children under the age of five die - most from preventable causes.

That's why GSK and Save the Children joined forces in 2013. By bringing together our unique skills and resources, we are breaking new ground and finding new ways to reduce the number of children dying from preventable diseases.

GSK is a science-led global healthcare company and expert in the research, development and supply of medicines and vaccinations. Save the Children has 100 years of experience in creating meaningful and lasting change for children and families across the world. Through our partnership we have helped to bring down the number of children dying from preventable deaths, reaching over 2.8 million children under five with life-saving interventions, and treating over 187,800 children for malaria, pneumonia or diarrhoea.

In 2018 we renewed our partnership commitment to address critical areas of healthcare where our joint expertise can play a unique role. From flexible programming in contexts where prolonged humanitarian crisis has shattered the healthcare system and capacity building to advocate for health policy change, to collaborative research and development to tackle challenges in global child health, we strive for transformational change that will help save children's lives.
