For People, For Better

Iceland Foods Charitable Foundation

The Iceland Foods Charitable Foundation (IFCF) has been around since 1973, but it's more than a corporate foundation; it's a community of 25,000 passionate fundraisers, campaigners and activists who believe in and support the IFCF's mission, 'For People, For Better'. We believe in doing the right thing to help people and the communities we serve.

Since 2011, we have focused heavily on our 'Dementia: Let's Beat It' campaign and we've raised a massive £15 million for dementia research and support, and spread awareness across all our stores, reaching five million customers per week. Our funding is helping to construct the London hub of the new UK Dementia Research Institute at UCL, facilitating real research breakthroughs, and supports thousands of people living with dementia in the UK today.

It is with extreme gratitude that we enter these awards to officially recognise and thank the 25,000 cake-baking, face-painting, truck-pulling, head-shaving Iceland colleagues across the country who have made these fantastic achievements possible. In 2018, we observed tangible results of the difference our colleagues are making for people with dementia now and in the future, and we couldn't be prouder of their outstanding commitment and contribution to the charity sector.
