For two consecutive years Selfish Mother, the blogzine platform for parents, and international children’s charity, Save the Children, joined forces to engage high profile celebrities and create a range of slogan sweatshirts that not only look good, but do good too. In support of Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day and available exclusively at Selfish Mother’s The FMLY Store, each sweatshirt carried a 50% donation to help ‘make the world better with a sweater’. The money raised has helped Save the Children bring essentials like healthcare, education, protection and food to children around the world. The collaboration launched in 2016 and was an unprecedented success in the first year, so Selfish Mother and Save the Children were teamed up for a second year in 2017. Over the two campaigns a number of high profile stars have designed unique, festive slogan sweatshirts, including Poppy Delevingne, David Gandy, Karen Elson, Laura Bailey, Erin O’Connor, Jon Kortajarena, Immy Waterhouse, Adwoa Aboah, Lauren Laverne, Luke Evans and Nicholas Hoult. Their support has helped to raise awareness of Christmas Jumper Day – through widespread media coverage and huge social media reach, and has led to an incredible fundraising total of £150,000.
