Change for Good partnership 2018

easyJet and UNICEF UK

The UNICEF and easyJet Change for Good partnership has been fundraising for UNICEF on-board flights and through employees since 2012. 2018 has been the most successful year to date raising over £2 million in a single year.

£800,000 was raised for Polio vaccinations and the partnership celebrated the milestone of helping to vaccinate over 25 million children on World Polio Day which received outstanding national press coverage. A secondary funding theme of providing education in emergencies was introduced and over £1.2 million was raised in just three months.

Staff engagement across easyJet increased significantly with over 7,000 staff members joining the UNICEF workplace group. Change for Good staff emails had an open rate of 68% across the network, considerably higher than any other all staff communications.

For the first time, UNICEF hosted a special exclusive and immersive engagement event for easyJet colleagues. Guests who took part described the experience as 'eye-opening', 'really powerful and moving' and 'a privilege to have been a part of'.

9 UNICEF ambassadors supported the partnership including meeting and thanking crew at Gatwick and providing exclusive content for Traveller, easyJet's inflight magazine with a readership of over 5 million passengers.
