How to Enter

You may enter as many categories as you like and you can enter a project in more than one category. Please pay special attention to the following instructions. Failure to follow them will put your entry at a disadvantage.

Entries are online. Please click the ENTER button above when you are ready to complete the entry form and upload your submission.

Each entry must contain:
  • A written Word document answering the questions specific to the category you are entering. This document should be clear and legible and must not exceed a total of 1,500 words. Your written entry must open with a one-paragraph summary of the main reasons why the entry should win an award in that particular category.
  • Any relevant supporting material, such as copies of your annual report, campaign materials, press cuttings etc. Please note you can upload the supporting material in electronic format in the system, and/or send it in hard copy form to:

    Kate Collins
    Business Charity Awards
    174 Hammersmith Road
    London W6 7JP
When sending the supporting material in hard copy, please clearly indicate project title and category, for ease of reference.

Tips on entry

The judges will be looking for examples of outstanding campaigns, strategies, projects and performance, backed up by hard evidence of success and how the partnership has benefited both the company and the not-for-profit organization that they were working with.

Each submission must indicate clearly to the judges the nature and degree of difficulty of the challenge faced.

Strategies and campaigns will be judged on outcomes and achievements rather than the strength of the plan or campaigning materials.

Successful entries will be specific and economical with words.

Sensitive information

It is understood that in some cases entries may include commercially sensitive information. Third Sector reserves the right to publish descriptions and case studies of winning entries, but if an entrant asks for any part of their submission to remain confidential, it will be treated as such.

Withdrawn entries

No fees are refundable, but any entry may be withdrawn before 31 March 2010 without penalty.

Late entries

Late entries The entry deadline for these Awards is Thursday 11 March 2010. We will make some exceptions to this if the Event Manager is notified prior to 11 March. With notification, we will accept entries up to Thursday 25 March 2010. These entries will incur a late fee of £50 + VAT per entry.

Deadline for entries: Thursday March 25 2010

Please note that, if the entry is being made by an agency or consultancy on behalf of a voluntary organisation, it is necessary to secure a client signature. The email address will not be used for any other purpose.
